Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (and other concerns)
#15: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
The soul of Mindy Kaling is my basically my power animal. She’s an incredible writer (some of my favorite episodes of The Office were written by her) and so deliciously funny and self-deprecating. I’m always a little hesitant when it comes to books written by celebrities, but this book isn’t like that. It’s thoughtful, relateable and awesome. I hope she writes many more books that I can devour.
I agree! This book is lighthearted, relateable, funny, and most importantly, intelligent. It’s sharp and witty recounting of (some of) Kaling’s life that reads like a chick-flick the author (and this reader!) loves so much. Like she says in the introduction, “the cover of this book is pink… if it takes you more than two days to read, something’s not right!”
Would totally ready anything she writes. Can’t wait for more from her!
